A tense final day was played at the Estonian Amateur Open by Tallink. The winners who lifted the trophy at the Estonian Golf & Country Club were Kevin Christopher Jegers (Niitv\u00e4lja Golf Club) and Anete Liis Adul (Estonian Golf & Country Club).
\nIn the men\u2019s division, Jegers and Richard Teder (Estonian Golf & Country Club) battled fiercely for the win on the final day. After a long birdie putt on the 14th hole by Teder and a three-putt bogey by Jegers, the gap narrowed to just one stroke. On the 16th hole, Jegers responded with a chip-in birdie, and when Teder made a bogey one hole later, the lead stretched to three shots heading into the final hole. Jegers finished with a score of -5 (71, 68, 72). Teder took second place with -3 (71, 73, 69).
\nBehind the top two, there was a tight battle for third place, with three players finishing at +1. Markus Varjun got the third place due to a better score on the final two rounds compared to Ralf Johan Kivi and Mattias Varjun. All three represent Niitv\u00e4lja Golf Club. Results<\/a><\/p>\n

In the women\u2019s division, a similarly intense competition took place between Estonia\u2019s number one, Anete Liis Adul (Estonian Golf & Country Club), and Turkey\u2019s national team leader Sude Bay (Gloria Golf Club), who is ranked 286th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Adul won on her home course, beating Bay by a single stroke. Adul\u2019s rounds were 72, 74, 75 (total +5). Bay played consistent rounds of 74 each day. Thanks to a strong final round, German player Eva Ringwald (Stuttgarter GC Solitude) climbed to third place with a final score of +8 from rounds of 76, 76, 72. Results<\/a><\/p>\n

For both winners, this was their second Estonian Amateur Open title since the tournament was first held in 2004. Jegers previously won in 2020, when the event was held at Niitv\u00e4lja. Adul\u2019s first victory came in 2023, when the tournament was played at P\u00e4rnu Bay Golf Links.<\/p>\n

In the men’s mid-amateur category, Franz Sedoff (Helsinki Golf Club, Finland) received the special prize, while Anneli Esken (Estonian Golf & Country Club) was awarded in both the women’s mid-amateur and best senior woman categories. The men\u2019s senior category was won by David Pursley (Ozo Golf Club, USA).<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s tournament featured 126 players from nine different countries. Among the participants were 43 players with a plus handicap, and 38 of them are ranked in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, with 13 currently sitting within the top 1000.<\/p>\n
