Hellat lost the first place on the additional hole at the Finnish Amateur Open
Carl Hellat played great in Finland for the second week in a row. At the Finnish Amateur Open, he took second place after last year’s Finnish champion Ilari Saulo, losing first place on the additional hole. The opponent made a chip-in eagle on the extra hole. Hellats rounds: 70, 64, 70, giving a total of -9.
Other Estonians also played very well. Mattias Varjun took the fifth place. His playing rounds: 69, 67, 71, in total -6. Ken-Marten Soo and Markus Varjun shared the 18th place, with a result of +3. Kevin Christopher Jegers failed to make the cut due to a slight misunderstanding of the rules, which earned him many fines for misusing the preferred lie rule.
Of the women, Karola Soe made it to the last day, playing 75, 76 and 81, finishing 20th.
