The opening day of Estonian Amateur Open was held in very windy conditions at Niitvälja Golf Club, and it was even more surprising that the best result was played by Kristo Tullus (Rae Golf Club), whose result was +2 (74). Success came to the last year’s mid-amateur match play champion, above all because of good second half. The second position was taken by Carl Hellat (Niitvälja Golf Club), whose opening round was 77 (+5). Third place is shared by Gediminas Markevičius (European Center Golf Club), Sten-Erik Soo (EGCC) and Kevin-Christopher Jegers (Niitvälja Golf Club), who all received 78 (+6) shots. They were followed by Ken-Marten Soo (EGCC) and Armands Tripāns (Ozo Golf Club) with 79 (+7) strokes. Results

His closest chaser after the opening day is Karola Soe (Saaremaa Golf & Country Club) 75 (+3). Last year’s third Marta Siļčenko (Ozo Golf Club) is third again this year according to the opening day with a result of +4.
