The second day of the Estonian Amateur Open by Tallink brought stronger winds but less rain. In the men’s class Markus Varjun (Niitvälja Golfiklubi) had a result of 69, three over par after six holes. However, the last 12 holes brought 6 birdies and the course record (67) was only two shots away. Joonas Juan Turba (Reval Golf Club), the leader after the opening day, shot 74 today and is three shots behind the leader (+2). Lithuania’s top men’s golfer, Giedrius Mackelis (Eurpean Centre Golf Club), shot 72 today and shares third place overall with Ralf Johan Kiv (Niitvälja Golfiklubi, 73 today). Fifth and sixth are Richard Teder (Estonian Golf & Country Club) who shot 75 on both days (+6 overall) and Matias Rantala (Keimola Golf ry) who shot 76 today. Seventh place is held by Kevin Christopher Jegers (Niitvälja Golfiklubi), who was not happy with a 77. For Jegers, the bunkers around the green on the ninth hole were the fatal flaw today, putting him at 8 on the scorecard. Results

In the women’s competition, the best performers were Marta Silcenko (Ozo Golf Club), who shot 72 today, and Elizaveta Sofia Reemet (Estonian Golf & Country Club), who shot 73. This means that the two favourites will start the deciding day in equal positions, as they both have +5 on the two-day total. In third is Hannah Õunap (Valgeranna Golf Club) who shot 78 today for a total of +13. Karola Soe of a local club, who also shot 78 today, is ten shots behind Õunap. Results
