Clubs Championship best of the best: Niitvälja men and EGCC women

Today best golf clubs were revealed. In mens class Niitvälja Golf Club was victorious and in ladies class for the first time Estonian Golf & Country Club ladies won.

Men’s TOP 3:

  1. Niitvälja Golf Club, 2. EGCC, 3. Rae Golf Club

In the men’s class, the most successful was the Niitvälja Golf Club. Victory score was 728 strokes in two days (+28).

The team:

Timo Raukas, Carl Hellat, Kevin Christopher Jegers, Markus Varjun, Joel Rothberg, Rainer Boberg, Gert Holland, Aivo Hommik, Hanno Strazds, Raivo Velsberg, Taavi Viirpalu.

Joel Rothberg was the teams captain.

However, the title defender, EGCC, was able to firmly paralyze the attacks of Rae Golf Club and secured silver medals with 761 hits (+61).

The team:

Richard Teder, Janar Toomesso, Henri Pikk, Kristjan Kaleviste, Peep Pira, Jan Larsson, Gunnar Kobin, Taavi Truusa, Tõnis Segekrantz and Mait Schmidt .

Teams advisor was Marko Kaldoja.

Third place went to hosting club Rae Golf Club. The final score was 770 strokes (+70).
The team: Christopher Herman, Kristo Tullus, Janno Sild, Veiko Vill, Eerik Kivivare, Viljam Põdra, Timo Olesk, Rein Sarapik, Indrek Kuivallik and Veljo Haube

Teams advisors were Rae Golf Club captain Tõnis Nõmmik and next year’s captain Andres Kivivare.

Fourth was Otepää Golf Club (+106), fifth Saaremaa Golf Club (+140), sixth Valgeranna Golf Club (+147) and this time seventh Ojasaare Golf Club (+266).

From individual results Ralf Johan Kivi 73 and Kaupo Pastaku 76 strokes (both Saaremaa Golf Club) and Eero Soosaare 78 strokes (Ojasaare Golf Club) are worth mentioning.

Women’s Top 3:

  1. EGCC, 2. Niitvälja Golf Club, 3. Rae Golf Club

A historic event occurred when the Niitvälja Golf Club had to hand over the winning cup for the first time. By the end of the competition, the EGCC had 14 strokes less, 630 vs. 644 strokes.

The trio Anete Liis Adul 73, Mariliis Palm 75 and Anu Hanson 78 each contributed individually to the Estonian Golf & Country Club victory today. Fourball pairs were Anu Uuemõis and Monica Pihlak. Apawan Chinglek, Anneli Esken, Ene Tuul and Katre Kõvask played individually,

Marko Kaldoja and Janar Toomesso acted as advisors.

The silver medal was awarded to Annika Koitmaa, Cliona Dalberg, Liis Kuuli, Küllike Varik, Kristina Kuzmenok, Kristel Ulla, Margit Sunni, Olesia Abramova and Ulvi Ingver on the Niitvälja side. The best individual score of the day was played by Annika Koitmaa.

Third place went to Rae Golf Club. The final results were 689. Rae Golf Clubs team consisted of Anne Nõmmik, Siiri Haller, Sirje Eichelmann, Kai Regi, Jana Raudvere, Liis Õll, Merle Aun and Riina Egger. Tõnis Nõmmik and Andres Kivivare acted as advisors.

The fourth place went to Otepää Golf Club, fifth for Valgeranna Golf Club, who lost by 17 strokes to the South-Estonian representation (718 strokes total) and sixth was Saaremaa Golf Club (786).
