The Estonian Golf Association has signed a 1+1 year agreement with Daniel Moss Silva to coach the women’s golf team. In previous years, the women’s golf team was coached by Mark Suursalu. The most important competitions for the women’s golf team this year will be the European Team Shield and the Individual Championships. For younger players, there are various individual competitions both for under-18 and for under-16s.
Daniel has had a passion for golf since early childhood, as his whole family has been involved in golf. As an amateur, Silva represented the Portuguese national team. In 2018, Daniel was assistant coach and caddie to Kim Koivu, who managed to win three Challenge Tour stage wins and earn a European Tour card. In addition Daniel has been assistant coach and a caddie to Sanna Nuutinen, who played in the Olympics and also finished fifth overall in the Ladies European Tour in 2020.
“Today I am a full time golf coach with a main focus towards developing elite players in various ages and categories. Specialised in the key fundamentals from technical, strategy and performance.” said Daniel.
