Estonian Amateur Openi winners: Raumolin and Sikk
Today the prestigious XXIII Estonian Amateur Open by Tallink concluded at the Estonian Golf & Country Club. The men’s title and a wild card entry to the Infortar Estonian Challenge went to Finland. After taking the lead following the second round, Finnish junior national team member Joona Raumolin (Gumböle Golf) held off the charging members of the Italian national team on the final day to secure victory with a total score of 7 under par (68, 73, 68). The 16-year-old Finn recorded eight birdies in the final round, including three on the opening three holes. Francesco Petrangeli (Roma Acquasanta) finished in second place, just one stroke behind the winner. Third place also went to Italy, as Biagio Andrea Gagliardi (Olgiata Golf Club) finished two strokes behind his teammate. As a result, the reigning European champions leave Estonia having claimed two of the top three positions. The best-performing Estonian was Ralf Johan Kivi (Niitvälja Golfiklubi), who shared fifth place. He carded a 68 on the final day, one of only three players in the men’s field to record the tournament’s lowest final round score. The top ten featured national team players from five countries: Finland, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, and Estonia.

In the women’s competition, Kristella Sikk (Niitvälja Golfiklubi) managed to keep the title in Estonia. She was the only female player to finish the tournament under par, posting a winning total of 1 under par (70, 73, 72). The 15 year old Sikk, who took the lead on the opening day, held on to claim victory. Sude Bay (Gloria Golf Club), the leader of the Turkish national team and also last year’s runner-up, finished two strokes behind in second place. Her teammate Ada Narin (Kemer Country Club) secured third place. The best final-round score in the women’s field was a 70, recorded by Anete Liis Adul (Estonian Golf & Country Club). However, the defending champion’s strong finish was only enough for fourth place. Sikk became just the fourth Estonian woman in the tournament’s 23-year history to keep the trophy at home. Mari Rauna (Suursalu) won the event in 2005 and 2007, Elizaveta Sofia Reemet won in 2021 and 2024, and Anete Liis Adul claimed the title in 2023 and 2025.

The special prizes for the best mid-amateurs remained in Estonia this year. In the men’s category, the top mid-amateur was Mattias Varjun (Niitvälja Golfiklubi), while in the women’s category the honor went to Anete Liis Adul (Estonian Golf & Country Club).

The best senior players were Andrew Darlington from Vuosaari Golf Helsinki and Anneli Esken, who competed on her home course at Estonian Golf & Country Club.
