Estonian Golf & Country Club takes three out of four titles

The Estonian Inter-Club Golf Championships ended today in Saaremaa. Of the four winners’ trophies, three went to Estonian Golf & Country Club, only the men’s seniors had a small misfortune and the first place went to Tartu Golf Club.

Men

In an exciting men’s final, the winner was decided on the last green. Estonian Golf & Country Club won the final 3:2 over Niitvälja Golf Club. The EGCC team included: Janar Toomesso, Henry Mägi, Ken-Marten Soo, Rauno Pikk, Richard Teder, Ruut Kangust. Team captain Rain Uusküla and advisor Peep Tammemäe. The bronze medals went to Reval Golf Club for the first time, who beat Rae Golf Club 3:2. The team for Reval GC was made up of Erko Täht, Derek Vaide, Janno Sild, Joonas Juan Turba, Mark Elster and Rene Aguraiuja. Team captain Heiti Elster and advisor Rasmus Reimo. Results

Six extra holes were played for fifth place, with captain Viljar Pärnamäe bringing home the win for Tartu Golf Club, beating Allan Roosipuu. Valgeranna Golf Club had to settle for sixth place on this occasion. Results

The men of Otepää Golf & Country Club were worthy of seventh place, beating Saaremaa Golf & Country Club, who enjoyed the advantage of their home course, 3:2. Results

Women

The women’s class was won by Estonian Golf & Country Club, who beat Niitvälja Golfiklubi 2:1 in a tight final. The EGCC team was made up of Anete Liis Adul, Elizaveta Sofia Reemet, Isabel Sirel and Lil Kangust. Team captain Rain Uusküla and advisor Peep Tammemäe. Third place and bronze medal winners this time were the women of Rae Golf Club, who beat Tartu Golf Club 3:0. Rae team was made up of Annabel Kadak, Getter Saaroja, Iiris Mätas and Triin Marleen Ustal. Team captain Jana Raudvere and advisor Kadri Veskimeister. Results

Fifth place for the women was secured by Valgeranna Golf Club, who defeated both Reval Golf Club and Otepää Golf & Country Club in foursomes matches. Sixth place went to Reval Golf Club, who defeated Otepää Golf & Country Club in the third extra round. Results

Men Seniors

Men’s Seniors win went to Tartu Golf Club, who beat Estonian Golf & Country Club 2:1. The same teams were in the final last year. The winning team was made up of Ake Andressoo, Benno Maaring, Toomas Tamme and Tõnu Tsernant. Team captain Viljar Pärnamäe and advisor Vadim Apuhtin. In the silver team were Jan Larsson, Gunnar Kobin, Raido Raamat, Taavi Truusa. Team captain Rain Uusküla and advisor Peep Tammemäe. Results

Women seniors

In the women’s seniors final, the battle continued until the last hole. The title holder Estonian Golf & Country Club finally got theirs and defeated Tartu Golf Club 2:1. The gold medal winners on this occasion were Anneli Esken, Anu Uuemõis, Monica Pihlak and Riina Vettus. Team captain Rain Uusküla and advisor Peep Tammemäe. Silver medals went to Anu Rebane, Eva Peedimaa, Reet Dalberg and Triin Anette Kaasik. Team captain Alice Andressoo and advisor Vadim Apuhtin. Results
