Niitvälja Golf Club by far the best

Niitvälja Golf Club was crowned the winner of the Estonian clubs championship at Otepää Golf Center in both men and women.

The men’s competition class was clearly dominated by Niitvälja Golf Club (with a result of +16). Silver medals this time for Rae Golf Club (+38) and third place for Otepää Golf Club (+93). Fourth place to Reval Golf Club (+124), fifth was Valgeranna Golf Club (+175), sixth Otepää Golf & Country Club (+267) and seventh Ojasaare Golf Club (+296). Players who had the best individual results of the day were Niitvälja players Mattias Varjun (69) and Carl Hellat (72) and Rae Golf Club representative Richard Teder (72) . The best fourball results were played by Rae Golf Club pairs Janno Sild / Kristo Tullus (70) and Taavi Viirpalu / Martin Järve (71).

Results

The winning team included Carl Hellat, Mattias Varjun, Timo Raukas, Markus Varjun, Gert Holland, Rainer Boberg, Hanno Strazds, Karl Lell, Raivo Rimm and as captain Joel Rothberg. Rae Golf Club was represented by Joonas Juan Turba, Richard Teder, Ralf Johan Kivi, Taavi Viirpalu, Martin Järve, Janno Sild, Kristo Tullus, Andres Esko, Indrek Kuivallik, Mati Virves and Tarmo Tšernjavski. Team captain Andres Kivivare and advisor were Tõnis Nõmmik. This time the representatives of Otepää Golf Club left with bronze medals: Juhan Peedimaa, Martti Martin, Igor Viirlaid, Mart Urbas, Jaak Vahi, Ott Vaino, Erko Hansar, Toomas Tamme, Ake Andressoo and Benno Maaring. Team captain Viljar Pärnamäe.

The winner of the women’s competition was also Niitvälja Golf Club (+65), who overtook the title defender of Estonian Golf & Country Club by as much as 50 strokes. The third place belongs to Otepää Golf Club (+124), with nine strokes behind the second place. Fourth place belongs to Rae Golf Club (+154). The best individual results of the second day in the women’s competition were performed by Niitvälja players Liis Kuuli (76) and Annika Koitmaa (78).

Results

The winning team was Annika Koitmaa, Liis Kuuli, Cliona Georgia Dalberg, Margit Sunni, Kristel Ulla, Kristina Kuzmenok, Anne Petter and Ulvi Ingver, captain Karin Mängel. Silver medals were given to Anete Liis Adul, Katre Kõvask, Anu Uuemõis, Ave Epner, Riina Vettus, Ene Tuul, Monica Pihlak and playing captain Anneli Esken. This time the bronze medals belong to the following players: Alice Andressoo, Eva Peedimaa, Eva-Kristina Maaring, Triin Anette Kaasik, Reet Dalberg, Aire Siim, Ines Nigul and Anu Rebane.
