Richard Teder (Estonian Golf & Country Club) became the second golf player to be awarded the young athlete grant by the Estonian Olympic Committee. The annual grant is 3,000 euros; in addition to that, there is a coach grant of 1,500 euros. Moreover, the grant gives Teder the opportunity to use support services meant for young athletes.

As of today, Richard Teder has risen to the 160th position of the World Amateur Golf Ranking, which is the highest place of all time both for him personally as well as for Estonian golf players in general. Currently, Teder is preparing for the winter season in Spain where he plans to take part in several high-level competitions.

The Estonian Olympic Committee chose athletes from altogether 22 sports. Previously, the young athlete grant has been rewarded to Carl Hellat.
