Sikk finishes tied for 24th at the French Ladies Open
The French Ladies Open Championship, also known as the Cécile De Rothschild Trophy, concluded in France yesterday. The tournament was held at Morfontaine Golf Course (par 72), with 106 women golfers taking part. Following the cut after the second round, the top 48 players and ties advanced to the final round. Estonia was represented by Kristella Sikk and Kirke Kiige.
The tournament was won by Sabrina Wong of Hong Kong, who held the lead from the opening round and finished on 10 under par (66, 67, 73). Wong finished two shots ahead of Spain’s Iciar Rodriguez, who carded 8 under par (71, 69, 68). France’s Ludivine Passe finished third at 6 under par (70, 71, 69).
Among the Estonians, Kristella Sikk finished tied for 24th at 2 over par (69, 74, 75). Kirke Kiige finished tied for 30th with a total of 5 over par (74, 73, 74).
