Three first places of Senior Open stay home

The two-day Senior Open finished today at Saare Golf where Estonians achieved three of the five first places.

Benno Maring was victorious in the male 50+ category with the result of +18 (85, 77) obtaining the Estonian Championship and the Senior Open title. Second place went to Peep Pira with the result of +21 (83, 82) and third to Mait Schmidt with the result of +28 (86, 86). They receive Estonian Championship silver and bronze medals, respectively.

 

 

 

 

 

First place in the Senior Open and Estonian Championship in the female 50+ category went to Ulvi Ingver with the result of +32 (86, 90). Second place with the silver medal went to the Finnish golf club representative Laura Kämäräinen who finished with the result of +37 (82, 99). Third place and the bronze medal went to Karin Mängel with the result of +42 (92, 94).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Raivo Velsberg won once again in the male 60+ category. His final result was +16 (77, 83). Second place went to Urmas Isok with the result of +22 (80, 86) and third to Juhan Kolk with the result of +23 (84, 83). They also formed the top three of the Estonian Championship.

 

 

 

 

 

In the female 60+ category, first place went to Arja Nordström with the result of +38 (92, 90). Second place and the Estonian Championship gold medal went to Kai Thornbech with the result of +45 (95 94). Third place in the Senior Open and the Estonian Championship silver went to Anne Petter with the result of +47 (96, 95). Liis Veltmann got the bronze medal of EV100 with the result of +53 (98, 99).

 

 

 

 

 

The first two places in the male 65+ category went to Finns. Harri Juhani Sivonen won with the result of +39 (96, 87) and second place went to Raimo Snellman with the result of +41 (92, 93). Third place and the Estonian Championship title went to Rein Viru with the result of +44 (96, 92). The silver and bronze medals went to Toomas Proos and the EGCC golf club president Jüri Ross, respectively, both of whom finished with the result of +47. Toomas had a better second day though (97, 94) compared to Jüri (96, 95).
