Estonia are once again the best in the Baltics
Estonia are once again the best golf nation in the Baltics, defeating both Latvia and Lithuania at the Baltic Champions Cup held at Jurmala Golf Club. The hosts Latvia finished second this time.
Estonia beat Latvia 10.5–7.5 and Lithuania 13–5, while Latvia defeated Lithuania 12–6. Of the eight editions of the tournament, Estonia have now won seven, with Latvia claiming the title once. Next year’s competition will be held in Lithuania.
The winning Estonian team consisted of Anete Liis Adul, Anneli Esken, Ave Epner, Danielle Truusa and Urmas Isok (all Estonian Golf & Country Club), Annika Kalvet, Ulvi Ingver and Oskar Saarne (all Niitvälja Golf Club), Aivar Paalberg Jr, Kaur-Mattias Kuuskme and Martin Järve (all Rae Golf Club), and Mart Urbas (Tartu Golf Club).
