Dishonest game

In recent weeks, there has been an increase in cases where people have been caught playing but who have not booked or paid for their game round. Such practices are reprehensible under normal circumstances, but they are particularly unacceptable now that the courses are facing declining revenues from the virus outbreak. We remind you that booking a round is mandatory on all courses and the closure of the clubhouse does not mean that you do not have to pay for the round before you start. The websites of all courses clearly state how to pay for rounds in an emergency and the presumption continues to be that the golfer is honest!

As an organization responsible for the popularity and fair play of golf, we cooperate with all courses in Estonia (regardless of whether they are members of EGL or not) and consider additional measures for violators of the rules established by the courses (eg (temporary) suspension of HCP, making a recommendation to the home club to suspend club membership, etc.) and, if necessary, drawing up a common blacklist.

In the name of fair play!
