This year’s Estonian Match Play champions were crowned today at Niitvälja Golf. Additional holes were needed to determine the medal winners. In the men’s class, Mattias Varjun, who celebrated his 22nd birthday, won the final, beating his younger brother Markus 2/1. Both brothers are from the Niitvälja Golf Club and for Mattias this is his second title in the Match Play championship. The previous one was from 2019. The bronze medal this year belongs to Richard Teder (Estonian Golf & Country Club), who managed to beat Marten Palm (Niitvälja Golfiklubi) in the first extra hole. Results

In the women’s class, however, it took three extra holes to determine the winner. In the end, only 13-year-old Hannah Õunap (Valgeranna Golfiklubi) was able to prevail, leaving title holder Anete Liis Adul (Estonian Golf & Country Club) in second place. The bronze medal this time went to Karola Soe (Saaremaa Golf&Country Club), who was 4&3 better than Triin Marleen Ustal (Rae Golfiklubi). Results
