Jegers wins second tournament in a row! University record broken again

Kevin Christopher Jegers continues with a fantastic form in the USA, where for the second tournament in a row the Estonian national team player was crowned the winner. At the Loyola Intercollegiate tournament, Jegers again had three rounds of  scores beginning with 6, this time a 66, 69 and another flawless round of 65 on the final day. The three-day final score of 200 (-16), is a new Middle Tennessee University record, last record Jegers beat just last tournament and managed to hold for just nine days.  After three days, Jegers had 17 birdies and 2 eagles. The closest chaser in the tournament at Palm Valley Golf Club was Joseph Glenn (Utah Valley), who was three shots behind. Mattias Varjun also played in the tournament, finishing tied for 84th with rounds of 76, 79, 72. Varjun’s scorecard on the final day was graced with two eagles. Results

As a team, Middle Tennessee University picked up its second win in a row. This time, they edged Utah Valley University by just one stroke.

Kevin’s comment on the tournament: “I was able to avoid big mistakes and keep the ball in play. During the practice round, the drive was a little off but luckily I got it fixed for the tournament and didn’t have to worry about it. My short game continued to be very good and thanks to that I didn’t have any bogey on the last day.”
